What is Revl?
Revl is here because we crave more. We crave better. And we want to create a place where the people are the focus. Yes we offer group training. Yes we offer full gym access. Revl is our chance to rebalance the fitness experience, to deliver workout experiences that are designed for what people actually want to do and how they want to live. We want you to revel here! After all, people and their experiences matter most of all.
What do I need to bring?
Comfortable clothes that you can move easily in, a towel (we sweat around here!), a drink bottle and sneakers.
Do you have lockers?
We have cubby holes and a few lockers. Just make sure you empty your locker when you leave. You can bring your own padlock or purchase a combination lock from reception.
Are there showers?
Yes, we have a limited number of onsuite showers/changing suites, and they’re pretty damn slick. We’ve also kitted out our unisex vanity & make up bays with Dyson Hairdryers and GHDs; couples who groom together stay together:-) You’ll leave looking better than you arrived.
Do you have water or should I bring my own?
We encourage you to bring your own water bottle that you can fill up in our filtered drinking fountain. We sell reusable stainless steel bottles and water from For The Better Good company. We are not into single use plastic.
Do I have to join the classes?
No (but we reckon you should, they’re awesome). You can complete your own work out in the gym if you prefer to play that way. Unsure what to do? Ask at reception for our Play of the Day workout (POD) suitable for all fitness levels.
What kind of workouts do you offer?
We offer 30-45 mins cardio workouts, strength workouts, cardio and strength mix and Restore for mobility and stretch. We also have a different Play of the Day available each day; a 24 mins timed circuit. No complications, no excuses. Sorry ;-)
Will I be okay if I’m a beginner or not already in shape?
Of course! We welcome beginners every day! If it’s your first time, we’ll look after you in any class you choose. Revl workouts are created for you to challenge yourself - you can set your own speed and choose the heaviness of your weights, depending on your experience. And all class moves have low impact and lower intensity options - no excuses sorry;- Believe us, with every class comes increased confidence and strength, so go at your own pace and have fun!
To make the most of your first class, we recommend arriving 10 minutes early.
How often should I go?
We recommend 4 classes per week as an optimal number, with 3 classes per week at a minimum if you’re hoping to see results. We have taken care of all the programming for you to ensure all you have to do is turn up! As always, listen to your body-if your muscles are very sore, give them time to repair and make sure you incorporate our Restore program into your weekly routine. Your body will love you for it!
What options do I have for buying classes or a membership?
We have options that will give you access to both classes and the gym, as well as a gym floor only option. We even have an Off-peak membership. Our pricing options are listed on the pricing page of our website, so take your pick!
If you purchase a 10 trip, a Revl Core, Revl Premium, Off-peak or Gym floor only membership, make sure you pop in to see us during our staffed hours so we can help set up your access card giving you secure access to the gym from 4 am until 11 pm (Off-peak access Mon-Fri 8am-5pm & Sat-Sun 11am-3pm) seven days per week.
Do you offer corporate events or other sessions for groups?
We do! Send us an email at studio@revl.co.nz and we’ll be in touch.
Does my pass or membership expire?
Your one session pass expires 14 days after you bought it.
Your 10 trip pass expires 6 months after you bought it.
Your Revl Core Monthly, Revl Premium Monthly, Off-peak and Gym floor only membership will auto renew on the same day each month (being the date you bought it) unless you contact the team otherwise.
Your Revl Core 12 month or Revl Premium 12 Month membership will auto renew on the same day each year (being the date you bought it) unless you contact the team otherwise. After one year, you will not be subject to another minimum period - we figure once you’ve been with us for a year, you’ve earned your reduced membership rate!
See below how to cancel your membership.
Do I need to book the classes?
Yes, we strongly recommend you do. Classes fill up, so make sure you secure your spot! Download our app for super easy management of your class bookings, or you can book via our website. You can reserve your spot a week in advance.
If you’re having a last-minute urge to join a class, just turn up; if we’re not full, we’ll do our best to slot you in.
All Classes (memberships, casuals and passes)
• Cancel more than 4 hours out? All good – no penalty.
• Cancel less than 4 hours out or don’t show?
- Casual visits or 10-trip passes: that session will be deducted.
- Memberships: two no-shows/late cancels in a row may result in your
ability to book classes being temporarily suspended.
Emergency or last-minute chaos? Come have a chat. We’re human too.
Waitlist 101
• If a class is full, jump on the waitlist – you’ll be automatically added if a spot
opens anytime up to 2 hours before it starts.
• Within 2 hours of class, if spots open, we’ll send an SMS in priority order to
everyone still on the waitlist. It’s first in, first booked.
• Tip: if you’re waitlisted for an early morning session, set that alarm and assume
you’re in.
Reformer Classes - Additional Conditions
• A $10 late cancellation or no-show fee applies if you:
- Cancel less than 4 hours before class, or
- Fail to attend a booked class.
• Members added from the waitlist (up to 2 hours before class) are subject to the same conditions and must be prepared to attend.
• It’s each member’s responsibility to manage bookings and cancel on time to avoid fees.
Personal Training Sessions
Need to reschedule your PT? Reach out to your trainer directly – they’ve got you.
This policy takes effect 1 November 2025 and forms part of the membership terms and conditions.
Can I move my booking?
If you are outside the 4-hour cancellation window, you can always switch to another class that’s not already sold out. If you need to move your booking but there is less than 4 hours until your scheduled class, that’s considered a late cancellation and the above policy would apply.
Can I pause my membership?
You may pause your membership up to two times in any 12-month period, for a
combined maximum of 6 weeks in total.
Pauses must align with your billing cycle. This means your membership can only be paused from the date of your next scheduled payment, and will automatically resume at the end of the pause period.
You must provide at least 14 days’ written notice before the start of your requested pause.
Any pause taken during a Minimum Period will extend that Minimum Period by the length of the pause.
Requests for medical reasons (including illness, injury, or pregnancy) will be considered separately, and additional pause time may be granted at our discretion with supporting evidence.
Unused pause entitlements do not carry forward.
This policy takes effect 1 November 2025 and forms part of the membership terms and conditions.
How do I cancel my membership?
If you want to cancel your membership, you’ll need to give us at least 7 days written notice before the date your next payment is due. An email will do just fine (studio@revl.co.nz).
There are no termination fees after the end of your Minimum Period.
If you have purchased a 12 Month Revl Core or Revl Premium membership you have contracted to remain a member for the Minimum Period. The monthly fee that you pay reflects your contracted Minimum Period.
For 12 Month Revl Memberships, if you choose to terminate your contract before the end of your Minimum Period you’ll need to pay a termination fee of 33% of the balance of the fees you are contracted to pay for your full Minimum Period.
For Month to Month Revl memberships, if you choose to cancel your membership during the Minimum Period you’ll need to pay the minimum fee of one month of membership.
If you are considering terminating because of illness, injury or financial hardship, please talk to us first.
What is your return policy?
Termination conditions are set out above. However, you may cancel your contract by advising us in writing within 5 working days after the date it is accepted by Revl.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, come and see us in the studio and we can tailor it to suit your needs.
Can I leave my kids, pets or other items in the lobby?
We’d love to share the Revl’s love with everyone, but we unfortunately can’t be liable for anything left in our lobby area. We do not offer child or pet sitting at this time.
What if I’m pregnant or just had a baby?
Well, first ask your doctor. Some mums start exercising one week after giving birth, and some mums-to-be work out until days before they give birth. Make sure your doctor knows what a Revl workout entails (cardio, weight training and mobility and stretch) and find out what you’re cleared to do. New mums deserve extra love and attention, and we promise to give it to you!
How old do I have to be to come to Revl?
15 is the magic number to attend Revl classes and the gym during staffed hours. If you’re under 18 you will need to have your parent or legal guardian sign the Revl Young Member Consent Form before your membership is accepted. You need to come into the club with your parent or legal guardian to sign it.
Are you thinking about opening a new Revl near me?
Unless you’re on Mars, then probably! If you think people would love Revl where you are and you want to get involved in helping us make it happen, feel free to reach out to us on the Contact Us page.
