Revl REformer pilates

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I try the classes before I buy a membership?

Absolutely! We offer casual class options and 10-trip passes for you to test the waters before committing.

If I try it first, can I then join on the Pilates Plus membership you offered?

Our Pilates memberships (Pilates Plus) are in high demand and limited in quantity. If you’re keen on attending regularly, we recommend grabbing one of these memberships ASAP before they sell out!

Can I think about it and take up the offer a bit later?

Our membership offer is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once they're gone, they’re gone! You will receive a confirmation email from us within 5 days of reserving your spot so keep an eye on your inbox for that golden ticket! This will be your confirmation you’ve managed to snap up one of the few spots available.

What happens if I want to upgrade to the Pilates Plus membership but I’m currently within my 12 month term on my current Revl membership?

If you’re on a 12-month term and wish to upgrade, you can snag the 12 month membership deal, and your original term will still apply. After the term ends, it switches to a month-to-month membership. If you’re outside of your contract term or on a current month-to-month membership you can choose between the 12 month term or the month-to-month option depending on what suits you the best.

If I grab one of the Pilates Plus memberships and then change my mind, what happens?

‍If you choose the month-to-month membership (if upgraded from a similar plan), you can cancel anytime. You can then switch to one of our other plans, choosing between our current gym floor access or current class memberships. Note that the prices will be at the current displayed rates.

Do I need to be super fit, strong, flexible or experienced to do the Reformer Pilates classes?

We get it - every session at Revl can be a sweaty one. But don’t fret! Our Reformer Pilates classes are designed to be beginner-friendly yet challenging for the experienced. You may not even work up a sweat! Just like all our classes, Reformer will have a 12-week cycle including VO2, Boost, and Peak phases, ensuring variety and progress. These classes are open to all, with no previous Pilates Reformer experience required.

What’s the difference between Revl Reformer and other Reformer Pilates classes?

This is Reformer Pilates as you've never experienced it. It’s Pilates done the Revl way. A darkened room, epic lighting, Revl tunes and top tier coaching. Using our sleek reformer beds, this low impact, full body workout will improve your strength, flexibility and coordination. Unlike other Pilates classes you can expect an immersive environment with dynamic movements and classic isolated muscle holds, all set to your favourite Revl tracks.

How often should I do Pilates classes?

Joseph Pilates himself recommended classes three times a week. It’s safe to do every day, though! We suggest mixing athletic and strength workouts with Reformer Pilates to boost coordination, flexibility and injury prevention. Even the All Blacks are fans—so it must be good, right?

How long are the classes?

The classes are 50 mins from start to finish.

Is there a limit on how many Refomer Pilates classes I can do each week?

No, as long as you have a Pilates Plus membership you can book as many as you like! That’s why we have only opened up a few of these memberships.

How will the class bookings work?

Just like our other classes you will be able to book your Refomer classes using your Revl app. You can book 8 days in advance. As long as you cancel at least 8 hours prior to the class starting there is no problem. Repeated late cancellations and no shows means you’ll be prevented from booking further classes online.

Do I need any special equipment?

Yes, you will need socks with traction (grip socks). You can bring your own or purchase a pair from reception.

What will happen to Restore when you launch Reformer classes?

Restore classes will take a break while we launch Reformer. But don’t worry, Yoga Flow classes will continue in different blocks—keep an eye on the timetable!

Are your coaches qualified Reformer instructors?

You bet. Our coaches hold both Level #1 and Level #2 Reformer Pilates qualifications, recognised and endorsed by Exercise New Zealand. Plus, they’re registered Exercise Professionals just like all our other coaches. You’ll meet some new faces too!

I’m pregnant, is Reformer Pilates classes recommended?

We recommend discussing it with your doctor and midwife first. Reformer Pilates offers great benefits like strength building, flexibility, and stress relief. Listen to your body and talk to your coach for any necessary adjustments. We’re here to support you!

I’m injured, can I do Reformer Pilates classes?

Yes, Reformer Pilates is low-impact and gentle on the joints. Talk to your coach to tailor the workout to your needs, ensuring you reduce stress on injured areas.

If it's super popular will you add more classes and more beds?

Absolutely! We’re always listening to your feedback and will adjust our schedule to meet demand. More classes and more beds—coming right up if needed.
